This clock, manufactured by the Bulova Corporation, was inspired by the floor lamp in the Sherman M. Booth House, Glencoe, Illinois, circa 1915. Mr. WrightÆs lawyer-friend commissioned this house, the first of several built as part of the Ravine Bluffs Development. Most of Mr. WrightÆs lighting was either built in or attached to his buildings. Of only three free-standing floor lights designed by Mr. Wright, this is considered by many to be his best. It is derived from his design for the Japanese-print stands that were used in the exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1908, and has just enough room on the central shelf and base to display a small, precious work of art. - Inspired by the floor lamp Wright designed for the Sherman Booth Residence,Glencoe, Illinois, circa 1915
