Timeworks Post Script Wall Art - Paris Cafe de la Paix
A very long time ago, well before a simple "click" sent an image around te world, travelers took the time to write and send elegant and sophisticated postcards. From the elegance of the card itself, to the detail and color of the stamps and postmarks to the intimate and beautifully handwritten notes, postcards were an important form of expression.
This set of three vintage postcards show Paris at the Paris Cafe de la Paix. This rare postcard shows a rather typical street scene in central Pairs - not long after the end of WWI. The 1920's was a go-go decade in Paris and a very quiet one as well. The name "Cafe de la Paix" (literally translated "Cafe of the Peace") was and still is a common name for French Cafes.
Postcards come in a set of three. Each image is framed with solid aged brass corners.
