Timeworks Post Script Wall Art - Eiffel Tower Carte Postale
A very long time ago, well before a simple "click" sent an image around te world, travelers took the time to write and send elegant and sophisticated postcards. From the elegance of the card itself, to the detail and color of the stamps and postmarks to the intimate and beautifully handwritten notes, postcards were an important form of expression.
This set of three reproduction postcards show the Eiffel Tower constructed for the 1889 World Fair, "La Tour Eiffel", designed by Gustave Eiffel, and was originally planned as a temporary structure - to be disassembled a year later. Never dismantled, it has become the symbol of France as well as the subject of countless postcards, like this one postmarked 1913.
Postcards come in a set of three. Each image is framed with solid aged brass corners.
