A very long time ago, well before a simple "click" sent an image around te world, travelers took the time to write and send elegant and sophisticated postcards.  From the elegance of the card itself, to the detail and color of the stamps and postmarks to the intimate and beautifully handwritten notes, postcards were an important form of expression.

This set of three reproduction postcards show the 1940-s era postcard that captures much of the fun and carefree mood of the post-war period.  This could have been anything from a beauty contest photo-op to a bunch of college coeds spending spring break together.  An alluring and timeless image of mid century America.
