The smart sensor detects and accurately measures the wetness of the soil and this sensor is cabled to the regulator which connects directly to any automatic watering system or a valve.
The soil moisture level is controlled via a simple dial setting on the AquaBlue regulator so that watering is:

- Stopped if the soil gets too wet while watering
- Resumed at the next cycle or during a watering cycle when the soil is too dry
Here we show the normal time for the sprinkler to activate. The sprinkler system does not come on in 2nd picture as the sensor knows the ground still has adequate moisture. Picture 3 shows that it is raining and sprinkler system is cancelled as ground sensor detects adequate moisture.
